At Ethos BJJ, our mission is simple: empower individuals through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. We help students build confidence, discipline, and respect, both on and off the mat. Whether you’re a complete beginner or an experienced competitor, our focus is on real skill development, consistent progress, and a supportive training environment.
Tyler began training in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu at age 15 in 2009. In 2019, he made the bold decision to move to Brazil to train at the source. Over four years (2019–2023), Tyler earned his brown belt, competed and won multiple brown belt championships, and was awarded his black belt in 2021 under Claudney Borracha and the Tozi brothers. He earned his 1st degree black belt in 2024 and continues to compete internationally, representing Tozi JJ.

At Ethos BJJ, we believe that martial arts training is not just about physical fitness, but also about mental and emotional growth. Our philosophy is based on the principles of respect, self-discipline, and perseverance. We strive to create a positive and supportive environment where students can learn and grow both on and off the mat.
